Joseph Sibilly Elementary School Code of Conduct
At Joseph Sibilly Elementary School, students are expected to take pride in themselves and their school. To foster a respectful, responsible, and safe learning environment, all students must adhere to the following guidelines:
Student Expectations
- Attendance & Punctuality: Students must attend school regularly and arrive on time.
- Uniform Policy: Students must wear the official school uniform daily, adhering to the school's dress code.
- Hallway Conduct: Students must walk in an orderly manner when transitioning between classes.
- Classroom Preparedness: Students must arrive in class with all required materials, including notebooks, textbooks, pens, pencils, and completed homework.
- Engagement in Learning: Students must remain on task during class and actively participate in their learning.
- Respect for Learning Environment: Students must not disrupt or distract classroom activities.
- Classroom Access: Students are not permitted in classrooms before school, during lunch recess, or after school without a teacher’s permission.
- Designated Areas: Students must be in their assigned locations in the morning, during lunch, and at dismissal.
- Dismissal Procedure: Students must remain seated and wait for school officials to dismiss them.
- Campus Safety: Students may not leave school premises without official permission.
General School Rules
- Follow directions the first time they are given.
- Show respect for yourself, your peers, and all school staff.
- Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to learn.
- Wear the prescribed school uniform properly.
- Use appropriate language at all times; physical contact with others is not allowed.
- Keep the school campus clean and dispose of trash properly.
- Upon arrival and dismissal, all students must sit in their designated areas.
Discipline Procedures
Failure to follow the Code of Conduct or General School Rules may result in appropriate disciplinary actions in accordance with school policies. The school administration will work with students and families to address behavioral concerns in a constructive and restorative manner.
By following these expectations, students contribute to a positive and productive learning environment at Joseph Sibilly Elementary School.
