A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Students:

Welcome to the Joseph Sibilly Elementary School!  We extend an especially warm welcome to our new Prekindergarten and Kindergarten students, and to all other students who are new to the Joseph Sibilly Elementary School (JSES). The staff, faculty, and administration are here to ensure that your children experience a successful 2024-2025 school year.            

Parents, this is the year that the JSES’s Prekindergarten through Grade 5 classes have a unique opportunity to shine. With our dedicated teachers and paraprofessionals focusing on your child’s well-being, it is very important that you work together with the school to ensure that your child achieves high academic standards, as well as to become respectable citizens.  Our students’ attendance record must improve, and this is possible if all children arrive at school in a timely manner.  Instructional starting time is 8:15 a.m., and students must be settled in their classrooms by this time.  Students are also expected to value and respect themselves, and to show compassion in their daily interactions with others.

Students, your main focus is to learn.  Therefore, we encourage you to have a positive attitude towards school and learning, as well as towards all of the persons with whom you will interact daily.  Have all of the necessary tools that will guarantee you a successful learning experience.  Your teachers are a great resource.  Question your teacher often and allow them to help you to grow and achieve all that you can.

The Joseph Sibilly Elementary School has pledged to provide the best education for our Prekindergarten through Grade 5 students.  Therefore, we extend our hands to you and pledge our partnership as we continue developing and sustaining a commitment to excellence.
